With a diverse and accomplished career spanning multiple industries and continents, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. An honorably discharged US Navy veteran, I served in Naval Intelligence with a Top Secret Clearance, laying the foundation for my disciplined and strategic approach to business.

Leadership and Management

I have held significant leadership roles, including District Manager for a German company overseeing half of Europe, and Regional Manager for a U.S. company in Southeast Asia, managing territories, working trade shows, and holding events across multiple countries. As COO for a chain of Texas pet stores and Director on the Board of the World Pet Association, I have consistently demonstrated strong leadership and strategic planning skills. Additionally, I have served as the Board President of a local rescue group and as the HOA Board President for a community of over 300 homes, showcasing my ability to lead and manage large, diverse teams and communities.

Entrepreneurship and Business Development

As a serial entrepreneur, I’ve built and managed multiple successful businesses, including retail stores and an events and catering business. My retail stores have been multi-award-winning, reflecting excellence in both sales and management. With over 30 years of retail experience, I’ve been recognized with multiple awards for business success, and have mentored numerous retail businesses, helping them achieve significant growth and operational excellence.

Passion for the Pet Industry

My constant passion for pets and the businesses that impact the pet industry has driven much of my work. I am deeply committed to improving the lives, health, well-being, and future of pets through innovation and leadership in the industry. I previously owned a multi-award-winning pet supply store, which I successfully ran for 20 years before selling. I have sponsored, funded, and supported police department working dogs, helped acquire and donated pet oxygen masks for local fire trucks, and provided and coordinated hundreds of donations to animal rescues and shelters. These efforts demonstrate my dedication to enhancing pet welfare and supporting the communities that care for them.

Community Engagement and Philanthropy

Beyond my professional endeavors, I have actively contributed to my communities. As a Director on the Board of the Downtown Business Association, I worked to foster economic growth and support local businesses. My roles as Board President of a local rescue group, and HOA Board President, highlight my commitment to animal welfare and community development. Additionally, I have coordinated numerous donations to animal rescues and shelters, furthering my impact on animal welfare and community support.

Academically, I hold double Bachelor's degrees in Business/Marketing and Psychology/Science, which enrich my understanding of both market dynamics and consumer behavior. I have also contributed to education by teaching English to all ages at a Japanese language school and working as a tour liaison for a Japanese company, guiding U.S. military personnel on international holidays. My role as Education and Training Director of a chain of retail stores allowed me to develop and implement training programs that enhanced team performance and professional development.
